Paya Lebar Airbase (PLAB) will be relocated to Changi East to free up 800 hectares of land. Based on the plot ratios and the planning parameters, it will be an area bigger than Toa Payoh and Bishan. Analysts estimated that the area can accommodate 60,000 to 80,000 homes, aside from ancillary transport and commercial usage. Surrounding housing could command higher prices given their en bloc potential when the height restrictions are removed.
